The Man Behind the Work
Harding Inc. is run by me — Scott “Harding” Lunsford — out of Portland, OR. I like to say I make “Wearable art.” But mostly I make what drives me and inspires passion, otherwise what’s the point?
From an early age I was drawn to art — countless hours drawing, carving, creating. I take pride in every piece that leaves my shop because it was done entirely by hand: carving the master, soldering, engraving, stone setting, texturing, heat treating, and finally putting that final polish on before it ships to you.
In most cases I also cut and shape the stones myself — turquoise, lapis, opals — which gives me the freedom to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces. And anything you see here can be made to order in your size.

How Every Piece Gets Made
01 — Carve the Master
Every piece starts as wax or metal carved entirely by hand. No shortcuts. The master is where the design lives.
02 — Cast in Metal
The master gets cast in silver, brass, gold, cobalt, or various metals — each chosen for its character and the way it wears over time.
03 — Hand Finish
Engraving, stone setting, texturing, heat treating, polishing — each piece is finished individually by hand before it leaves the shop.
04 — Ships to You
In-stock pieces ship the next business day via USPS 2-Day Priority. Custom and made-to-order pieces typically ship in 3–4 weeks.
